HOWDY
The Pursuit Of
Designing Memories

I’m an industrial designer and product developer with over 15 years of experience working across outdoor, performance, consumer technology, and other technical product categories. My work spans hardgoods, softgoods, footwear, helmets, apparel, composites, electronics, and connected products, with experience taking products from early opportunity and concept development through engineering, manufacturing, and production.

My background in Industrial Design, Composite Manufacturing, and Textile Structures gives me a strong technical foundation, but my experience has grown well beyond traditional industrial design. I’ve worked in product management and development, helping define product direction, identify opportunities, build product lines, and balance user needs with business, technical, and manufacturing requirements. I enjoy working across those different parts of the process and understanding how the decisions made early in development ultimately affect the finished product. I’ve also developed a broad range of skills across both hardgoods and softgoods, including apparel and wearable product design. That includes materials, construction, patterning, CMF, CAD, prototyping, rendering, graphics, and product visualization. Being able to work across disciplines allows me to approach products as complete systems rather than isolated components.

I’m drawn to products where there is a real problem to solve and where design, engineering, materials, and manufacturing all have to work together. I like getting into the details, understanding the constraints, and finding ways to push the product further without losing sight of what makes it functional, manufacturable, and compelling.
